Well done to all who have been successful.

I need a new job, one with no contact with members of the human race preferably.😱🤣

The team did a zoom CPD today, covering communicating with young riders delivered by Elaine Warner, Head of children and young people’s services at CB Associate Training. Elaine worked for Go Velo for a number of years and has moved on to an amazing job with a superb training company. We are sad to see her go, but lucky to still be able to call on her for her amazing advice and support. Thanks Elaine, good luck for the future! ... See MoreSee Less

Our first Big Bike Swap went well, here’s a few of the children who came away with bigger bikes and got a quick lesson with instructors before they rode away confidently! All bikes were checked by a qualified mechanics and the unclaimed bikes will be offered to local primary schools for children who do not have access to one. Many thanks to everyone for helping to make this little experiment work! Seeing these happy faces on new bikes, I reckon we will do it again! #recycling #bigbikesswao ... See MoreSee Less

Pleased to be working with www.nacro.org.uk as their recognised delivery centre. The existing instructors at Nacro are re qualifying and their team expanding. Go Velo will be doing their training and will also be supporting them in setting up their Bikeability scheme. Exciting times! #gottheballroling ... See MoreSee Less

Level 3 Bikeability

Level 3 Bikeability training gives riders the skills and confidence to ride in different environments.

About This Project

“The instructors were friendly and knowledgeable and the practical sessions were varied and progressively challenging.”

Level 3 Bikeability training gives riders the skills and confidence to ride in different environments.

These can include busy, more complex roads and junctions where speed limits of above 30mph apply.

Opportunities to Learn

“The course and the teams on the day were fantastic.”

Go Velo provides Level 3 Bikeability both during and outside school curriculum times.

This includes lessons at our holiday clubs, and at locations across Lancashire. Our Level 3 training is available for children in year 6 and upwards, enabling them to use their bikes on the road to travel to high school.

Level 3 is funded by Lancashire County Council.

It takes place over four hours, in small groups of two or three cyclists. Working in this way, the cycle instructor can get to know the individuals on the course, tailoring the training to each learner’s capabilities.

The Benefits of Bikeability Training

“As a parent I feel much more confident in my daughter’s riding ability on busy roads, as does she.”

Bikeability training is ideal for anyone who rides a bike. It helps them gain the essential skills they need to ride with confidence.

Level 3 takes trainees beyond basic bike-handling skills and route-planning, to ensure that they can manage a range of traffic conditions.

To do this, we deliver Level 3 training on busier roads that have more advanced layouts and features.

Delivering this training in small groups allows us to focus on the individual and what they require to build their cycling skills.

“My son rarely went in his bike before attending. But after the course, I can’t get him off it! He feels so confident, and as a parent, I feel much more comfortable that he is safe.”

For more information about Go Velo’s Bikeability cycle training, please fill in our contact form, and we’ll be back in touch as soon as possible.
