Level 3 Bikeability training gives riders the skills and confidence to ride in different environments.
These can include busy, more complex roads and junctions where speed limits of above 30mph apply.
โThe course and the teams on the day were fantastic.โ
Go Velo provides Level 3 Bikeability both during and outside school curriculum times.
This includes lessons at our holiday clubs, and at locations across Lancashire. Our Level 3 training is available for children in year 6 and upwards, enabling them to use their bikes on the road to travel to high school.
Level 3 is funded by Lancashire County Council.
It takes place over four hours, in small groups of two or three cyclists. Working in this way, the cycle instructor can get to know the individuals on the course, tailoring the training to each learnerโs capabilities.

โAs a parent I feel much more confident in my daughterโs riding ability on busy roads, as does she.โ
Bikeability training is ideal for anyone who rides a bike. It helps them gain the essential skills they need to ride with confidence.
Level 3 takes trainees beyond basic bike-handling skills and route-planning, to ensure that they can manage a range of traffic conditions.
To do this, we deliver Level 3 training on busier roads that have more advanced layouts and features.
Delivering this training in small groups allows us to focus on the individual and what they require to build their cycling skills.

โMy son rarely went in his bike before attending. But after the course, I canโt get him off it! He feels so confident, and as a parent, I feel much more comfortable that he is safe.โ
