Go Velo is run by Kirsti Grayson, qualified National Standards Instructor Trainer (NSIT), British Cycling Level 2 Coach, British Cycling Ride Leader, British Cycling Route Planner and Wheels for All Leader. Kirsti also works for British Cycling as Bikeability Tutor, training future instructors. Kirsti was a TABS Director until 2015 and is a member of the Bikeability External Assurance Panel. Kirsti is a Recreation Education Tutor and Assessor, training future cycle leaders. Kirsti has a passion for cycling, volunteers at local cycling club Cycle Sport Pendle and loves getting people out riding their bikes.
Go Velo has an excellent team of instructors offering a friendly and non-lycra-clad / non-threatening approach to cycle instruction. The team of instructors, coaches and leaders have been carefully chosen for their love of cycling, they are qualified to a high standard and are specialists in their chosen field.
The Go Velo team has successfully delivered Bikeability to about 25,000 children in Lancashire since its formation, enabling children to ride on the road and further encouraging cycling amongst families. Go Velo has delivered cycling activities on behalf of, and in partnership with, Lancashire County Council, Pendle Borough Council, Pendle Leisure Trust, Preston City Council, Heysham and Wyre Schools Sports Partnership, Fylde Borough Council, Pendle School Sports Partnership, Rossendale School Sports Partnership & Cycling Projects. Go Velo supports Healthy Streets, Cycle Sport Pendle & Pendle Bike Week, where led rides, road safety courses and Dr Bike sessions are offered.
