I wanted to put in writing how impressed I was with James and Leanne for the way they so actively were promoting the opportunities of the Connecting East Lancashire and Love to Ride as well as Go Velo; it worked seamlessly and they were so enthusiastic and proactive. What great people to have working with you.
“Go Velo is an exemplary organisation who have worked in partnership with Stubbylee Community Greenhouses to deliver a project funded by the East Lancs Clinical Commissioning Groups: Social Prescribing Fund. This funding has enabled our organisation to develop a highly successful bicycle upcycle project which has up skilled participants of the local community who face barriers to employment and well being due to their health, financial or familial circumstances.
The instructors who have consistently worked with us have proved themselves to be committed, highly professional and passionate about the work they do. Their work and consistent positive attitude, has enabled individuals who are socially isolated/mentally unwell/vulnerable/ unemployed or struggling financially to have access to sustainable transport, improve maintenance skills and regain confidence to become cyclists. Some have found work and many have improved access to many places and social groups they would otherwise not experienced.
Go Velo as an organisation have delivered sessions and organised programs to fit with our needs as an organisation and have certainly met the needs of the community we deliver our projects to.”

Some comments from participants:
Thanks so much for the course at Lytham St Annes YMCA yesterday. It was well run, informative and fun. It was a very mixed group but you somehow managed to be inclusive and accessible to everyone who attended.
Kirsty, I just wanted to take the time to say a very big thank you for the 2 days we have enjoyed this week!
Everything was absolutely spot on, whether the attitude, expectation or expertise of the three delightful characters you sent to us, I and the children thought it one of the best things we have done in a long time!

I would just like to say a HUGE thank you to you for sending Shaun and Autumn and for the fantastic work they did with the boys here at Stepping Stones. Shaun and Autumn were amazing with the boys and I can’t praise them enough for how they were with the boys and that they gave them the skills needed to be safer on the road with a bike. The boys got sooooo much out of the two days they were here. Please pass on our many, many thanks. Continue reading
